A Quick Update...

Hello my lovelies!

Just writing to give you all a quick update...

New pictures will be up VERY soon! I promise! I apologize for not posting any for a while now...My laptop broke down on me and I had to bring it in to get fixed and they ended u pwiping my entire system! Because of that, I lost all of my photoshoot pictures and have been in the process of getting them back from my photographers ever since. Thankfully, I got a lot of them back... (along with new ones from my more recent photoshoots) so it shouldn't be too long until they're on here =)

Thank you again for all the emails and support! I've finally responded to all of my emails... I'm sorry it took so long, but I'm back on track now...

Thanks again friends! Love you all!

xoxo, Erin Jade

Remember When...

I came accross this article and wanted to share it with you. If you were born in the 80's or 90's... take a stroll with me. Close your eyes and go back...before the Internet or MAC... before semi-automatics and crack, before Pong or SEGA or Super Nintendo..

WAY BACK... I'm Talking about...

Hide and seek at dusk
Red light, Green light
The corner store
Hopscotch
Doubledutch
Jacks
Pogs
Kickball
Dodgeball
Mother, May I?
Red Rover
Hula Hoops
Running through the sprinkler
An ice cream cone on a warm summer night...
A cherry coke from the fountain at the corner drug store
Saturday Morning cartoons
Fat Albert, Road Runner, He-Man, The Three Stooges, and Bugs Bunny

Do You Remember?
When around the corner seemed far away, and going downtown seemed like going somewhere.
A million mosquito bites
Sticky fingers
Cops and Robbers
Running till you were out of breath
Laughing so hard that your stomach hurt
Jumping on the bed
Pillow fights
Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down ….Remember that?

Remember When…
The worst embarrassment was being picked last for a team
War was a card game
Water balloons were the ultimate weapon

What about...
When a quarter was a decent allowance, and another quarter a miracle
When milk went up one cent and everyone talked about it for weeks
When you'd reach into a muddy gutter for a penny
When laundry detergent had free glasses, dishes or towels hidden inside the box
When nearly everyone's mom was at home when the kids got there
It was magic when dad would "remove" his thumb
When girls neither dated nor kissed until late high school, if then
When all of your male teachers wore neckties and female teachers had their hair done
When being sent to the principal's office was nothing compared to the fate that awaited a misbehaving student at home

Remember when...
Decisions were made by going "eeny-meeny-miney-mo"
"Race issue" meant arguing about who ran the fastest
Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "Monopoly"
The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties
It was unbelievable that dodgeball wasn't an Olympic event
Having a weapon in school, meant being caught with a slingshot
Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better
Taking drugs meant orange-flavored chewable aspirin
Ice cream was considered a basic food group
Getting a foot of snow was a dream come true
Older siblings were the worst tormentors, but also the fiercest protectors

Basically, we were in fear for our lives but it wasn't because of drive-by shootings, drugs, gangs, etc.Our parents and grandparents were a much bigger threat.....

If you can remember most or all of these, then you have LIVED!

Reflections of 2008

So once again, it’s the beginning of a brand new year. Looking back on the past year, I can honestly say that it was one hell of a rollercoaster ride. 2008 had a multitude of up and downs & twists and turns.

If I could, there are a million things that I would go back and do differently. But I’ve come to realize that the past is necessary, necessary for me to proceed with my life without any "ifs, ands or buts"… Sometimes you must experience things in order to appreciate the lesson & learn from it...

Reflecting on my accomplishments, mistakes & lessons learned, I can honestly say that I definitely accomplished one of my bigger goals in life; mistakes made: definitely, I wouldn’t be human if I produced none; lesson learned from these mistakes: you can bet your whole patrimony on it... but of all the feats accomplished, the most life-changing one happened most recently- I’ve figured out who I am. Although it took me a LOT to get here, I now know what I do and don’t want in life. No more childish games, no more time to waste. It’s time to let go of the past, move forward, and grow up… and this is the perfect time of year to do so.

My experiences throughout 2008 have changed me completely. I’ve come to really love and appreciate the things I have. This year was a wonderful learning experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better year, full of a myriad of emotions, thoughts, lessons & people...Although this year coming up shall not necessarily bear as many adventures as this past one (or so I think), I know it’ll be one that will make me stronger... I’m ready to take on whatever this new year has coming my way…

Helloooooo 2009! =D
